With over 165 performances, Live From Memphis is retiring this free program. It's been a blast! Thanks to all the artists and interns involved. We wish you a huge success!

Bret Ross, a Memphis native, feels that his biggest role as a musician is that of the fan.

Bryan Hartley, frontman of local band Bryan Hartley Industries, showcases his southern roots, emotions, struggles, and adventerer's spirit through his folk driven, poetic country rock music.  The Memphis native has been involved with the local music scene for quite some time, playing in various bands and as a solo artist.  Bryan also worked as a songwriter for the Echoes of Truth Program, a performing and fine arts camp for kids that was sponsored by Memphis City Schools.

Art, beauty, and truth—such words characterize the music and person of Myla Smith.  Born and raised on a non-working farm just north of Memphis in Shake Rag, Tennessee, Myla’s passion for music and lyrical honesty comes from a bright, insightful mind and rich musical roots.

Sultry, atmospheric singer-songwriter Grace Askew is a striking presence on the local scene as something of a bluesier answer to Cat Power, and a female version of Tom Waits, whom she counts as key influences.

Native Memphian, Lauren Strange is a singer/songwriter who plays piano and guitar and has been writing songs since age 9.  Lauren currently attends The University of Memphis to pursue dreams of performing and recording her own music.
